Congratulations to Federation University’s Associate Professor Jiefeng (Jerry) Hu, who has received a prestigious Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowship. With nearly $1.2 million in funding over four-years, Associate Professor Hu, alongside REACH partner Oztron Energy, is focused on revolutionising microgrid technology.
The collaboration will focus on developing power inverter technology for community energy and microgrid applications. If the technology is successful, cutting-edge power converter control methods would help Australia to design a smarter electrical network, enabling homes and businesses to generate and share renewable energy such as solar and wind power with more efficiency.
