REACH’s Work Integrated Learning has teamed up with industry professionals from civil, acoustic, rail, mechanical and electrical engineering to share their sustainability-focused career journey with Deakin’s engineering students as part of the Young Engineers Australia Careers Masterclass.
Hasan Muttakin, a Deakin alumnus and finalist for this year’s Victorian International Education Awards in the Emerging Leader – International Alumni Award category, spoke about his experience in infrastructure sustainability and hydrogen. Graduating as a civil structures engineer, Hasan now works for Arcadis – who deliver sustainable design, engineering and consultancy services for natural and built environments. All speakers shared their innovative approaches to greener processes and technologies, highlighting how the green revolution is shaping their career.
Supported by Deakin Talent, the event was a great success with over 50 students in attendance.
